Bob Marley 1945 - 1981
The son of an English father (Captain Norval Marley) and young Jamaican girl Cedalla. Robert Nesta Marley was born 6th February. Bob's earliest influences were the likes of Fats Domino & Ray Charles. He went to London in 1970 & signed up with Island Records, was advanced £8,000 enabling Bob and his band the Wailers to fly back to Jamaica and record the first of many succsesful albums...'Catch a Fire'.
