John Lennon bought a guitar and formed the Quarrymen, in March 1960 they were joined by Stuart Sutcliffe, became the Silver Beatles dropping the name Silver in the August. They performed in Hamburg prior to returning back to England and in October 1962 they released their first single 'Love Me Do' and in February 1963 recorded Please Please Please Me their first album, 10 songs recorded in just 1 day. Beatlemania ensued....they split after recording Let it Be and also gave their last live concert on the roof of their Apple building in Soho, London.
