Information on back cover: During the mid 1980's a series of trains hauled by preserved locomotives was run on the former Great Western Railway line from Birmingham to Stratford-on-Avon. Here, preserved London and Manchester Services 'Jubilee' Class 4-6-0 No.5593 'Kolhapur' crosses the revitalised Stratford Canal at Whitlock's End, in the south western outskirts of Birmingham, with one of the northbound trains. Sir William Staniers 'Jubilee' Class appeared in 1935. 192 were built and during their heyday could be found working express trains in all parts of the old LMS system, from Aberdeen, in the North, to Bristol in the South West. Ideal to mount and frame.
